Managing Your Active Sessions
Every time you log in from a different device or browser, that's a "session." Managing your sessions helps you stay secure by knowing exactly where you're logged in and removing access you no longer need.
Why Check Your Sessions?
Reviewing your active sessions helps you:
- Spot unauthorized access: See if someone else is using your account
- Clean up old logins: Remove sessions from devices you no longer use
- Stay organized: Know where you're logged in
- React quickly: If something looks wrong, terminate it immediately
Viewing Active Sessions
Step 1: Go to Security Settings
- Log in to your account
- Click your profile icon
- Select Account Settings
- Click the Security tab
Step 2: View Your Sessions
Scroll to Active Sessions to see all devices currently logged in.
What Each Session Shows
For each session, you'll see:
| Information | Example |
|---|---|
| Device | MacBook Pro, iPhone 14, Windows PC |
| Browser | Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge |
| Location | San Francisco, CA, USA |
| Last Active | 2 hours ago, Currently active |
| First Signed In | January 5, 2025 |
Note: Location is based on IP address and may not be exact. Using a VPN will show the VPN's location.
Terminating a Session
If you see a session you don't recognize or want to remove:
Ending a Single Session
- Find the session in the list
- Click the X or Terminate button

To log out of everything except your current device:
- Look for Sign out all other sessions
- Click it

This is useful if you:
- Lost a device
- Suspect unauthorized access
- Want a fresh start
Recognizing Suspicious Sessions
Normal Sessions
- Devices you own
- Locations where you live or work
- Browsers you regularly use
- Recent activity times that make sense
Suspicious Sessions
Watch out for:
- Unknown locations: Cities or countries you haven't visited
- Unknown devices: Device types you don't own
- Odd timing: Activity when you were asleep
- Multiple sessions: Many sessions from different places at once

- Click Change Password
- Choose a strong, unique password
Step 3: Enable 2FA

Session Timeout
Sessions don't last forever:
- Active use: Session stays active while you're using the site
- Inactive timeout: Sessions may expire after extended inactivity
- Security events: Password changes invalidate all sessions
Best Practices
- Check sessions monthly: Make it a habit to review
- Remove old sessions: Terminate sessions from devices you no longer use
- Don't stay logged in on shared computers: Always log out on public/shared devices
- Use strong passwords: Makes unauthorized sessions less likely
- Enable 2FA: Even if someone has your password, they can't create new sessions without your phone
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my location look wrong?
Location is determined by IP address, which isn't always precise. It may show:
- Your internet provider's location
- A nearby city rather than your exact city
- Your VPN's location if you use one
Can I see what was done in each session?
The session list shows when sessions were active, but not specific actions. For detailed activity, check your order history and account activity.
Why do I have so many sessions?
Each browser and device creates a separate session. If you use Chrome and Safari on the same computer, that's two sessions. This is normal!
Will terminating a session lose my shopping cart?
Your cart is tied to your account, not your session. Terminating a session won't affect your cart.
