- Photo ID (some events require it)
Recommended
- Phone charged for digital tickets
- Screenshot of your ticket as backup
- Confirmation email (just in case)
The Check-In Process
How QR Code Scanning Works
- When you arrive, go to the check-in area
- Show your QR code to the staff member
- They scan it with their device
- If valid, you'll hear a confirmation sound
- You're in! Enjoy the event.
What Happens During Scanning
The system checks:
- Is this ticket valid for this event?
- Has this ticket been used already?
- Is the ticket holder authorized?
Valid tickets turn green. You're good to go!
If Something Goes Wrong
If your ticket doesn't scan:
- Try increasing screen brightness
- Clean your screen or unfold paper
- Show the confirmation email as backup
- Staff can look you up by name/email
Multiple Tickets
If you bought tickets for a group:
- Each ticket has its own QR code
- You can send tickets to friends
- Each person can use their own ticket
- Or you can hold all tickets and check everyone in at once
After Check-In
Once you've checked in:
- Your ticket is marked as used
- You cannot re-enter with the same ticket (unless re-entry is allowed)
- Keep your ticket as a memento if you'd like!
Ticket Policies by Event Type
| Event Type | Typical Policies |
|---|---|
| Concerts | No re-entry |
| Festivals | Re-entry allowed with hand stamp |
| Conferences | Re-entry allowed all day |
| Workshops | Check-in once at start |
Check your specific event's policies before leaving the venue.
